Inclusive Play Groups
Playgroups are suitable for all children and are divided by age and best fit. Our groups include, but are not limited to, circle time, arts and crafts, and free play. We encourage imagination within the groups, which allows children to be themselves while developing critical skills in a safe environment.
Sleep problems are prevalent among children, especially children with autism and negatively affect the wellbeing of both the child and their family. We address sleep problems, such as taking too long to fall asleep, waking frequently at night, sleeping for only short durations each night, and the inability to go to bed or sleep independently.
Nutrition and Exercise Counseling
Children in general but especially children with autism can be extremely selective eaters. Proper nutritional intake and physical activity can help regulate behaviors and increase their ability to learn. AOE believes that nutrition and exercise are overlooked components in the world of behavior modification. However, we consider them to be one of the most effective tools in helping with behavior modification.
Parent guidance provides parents and family members with tools to help their child learn new skills and decrease or eliminate maladapti-ve behaviors. AOE works with parents to better understand their child with high needs. Parent guidance is beneficial for the entire family, including siblings that learn to interact appropriately with their sibling.
Learning Coaches ensure that your child is successful with homeschooling or virtual schooling. An individualized plan is made for your child to help them learn their curriculum effectively and efficiently. Your child will work on academic goals as well as how to learn and study on their own.
